Medacta launches MySpine MC: 3 things to know

Medacta International launched a patient-matched posterior lumbar fusion solution at the North American Spine Society 2018 Annual Meeting in Los Angeles, Sept. 26-29.

Here are three things to know:

1. The 3D-printed MySpine Midline Cortical Pedicle Screw Placement Guide is designed as a muscle-sparing approach.

2. The MySpine MC technique has a more caudomedial entry point than traditional pedicle screw trajectories and a less extreme caudal-cranial angle than cortical bone trajectory designed to avoid cranial facet joint interference and accommodate larger screws.

3. MySpine MC is also designed to reduce patient recovery time and is intended for inpatient and outpatient surgery settings.
