Mayo Clinic partners with NFL to break ‘win-at-all-costs’ mentality: 3 things to know

Rochester, Minn.-based Mayo Clinic Sports Medicine and the NFL are partnering to support a new initiative to break the “win-at-all-costs” mentality, according to KTTC News.

Here are three things to know:

 

1. The new initiative InSideOut brings athletic directors and coaches across the state together to learn from NFL and Mayo Clinic experts.

 

2. Mayo Clinic and the NFL discussed mental-health issues and student athlete growth at the day-long event in Minneapolis. The hope is for the directors to be more involved with their athletes.

 

3. Former Detroit Lions player Joe Ehrmann developed the initiative.
