Marshall University Receives $10M for Sports Medicine Translational Research Center

Marshall University in Huntington, W.Va., recently received a $5 million endowment for its sports medicine translational research center from the Cline Family Foundation and another $5 million from the Virginia Research Trust Fund’s Bucks for Brains program, according to a WBOY report.

The sports medicine research center incorporates basic tissue growth and repair, gene expression and nanotechnology science with biomechanics and physiology. The center will support research that addresses these challenges in sports medicine.
