Mark J. Spoonamore, MD (USC Spine Center, Los Angeles). Dr. Spoonamore is an assistant professor of clinical orthopedic surgery at the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California (USC) and a spine surgeon at the USC Spine Center, part of Keck Medicine of USC in Los Angeles.
Dr. Spoonamore has a special interest in treating spinal tumors, trauma and deformity. He is an expert in minimally invasive and complex revision spinal procedures. Throughout his career, Dr. Spoonamore has conducted scoliosis research projects that earned awards from the Scoliosis Research Society. He also serves as a reviewer for Spine.
Dr. Spoonamore earned his medical degree at the University of Illinois at Chicago and completed his residency at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City. His additional training includes a fellowship in spine surgery from the University of Southern California.
