Los Angeles Orthopaedic Hospital Celebrates 100 Year Anniversary

Los Angeles Orthopaedic Hospital recently celebrated its 100 year anniversary, according to the hospital’s website.

More than 300 people gathered to celebrate the institution’s centennial. The hospital was founded by Charles LeRoy Lowman, MD, an orthopedic surgeon, as a hospital that provided orthopedic care to children with disabilities, regardless of their ability to pay. The hospital has provided care for more than two million patients since its opening.

The hospital is now in a strategic alliance with the University of California, Los Angeles, and recently constructed its new a 40,000-square-foot outpatient medical center on the Los Angeles Orthopaedic Medical Center Campus.
