Lemak Sports Medicine and Orthopedics, a sports medicine practice in Birmingham, Ala., recently held a Medical Soccer Symposium, according to a report from The North Jefferson News.

The symposium’s goal was to increase awareness about athletic injuries with a particular focus on soccer injuries. The symposium provided education for coaches, parents and athletes. Several physicians from Lemak Sports Medicine, including founder Lawrence Lemak, MD, sat on the symposium’s panel.
