The Kings and Los Angeles-based Keck Medicine of USC began renovating the facility three years ago. The Kings inherited the facility from the Los Angeles Lakers, who moved into their own training center in 2017. Facility physicians will provide care to Kings’ players and the general public.

The Kings and Keck Medicine of USC decided to make the facility public after weighing the benefits of operating a private or public facility.
