Here are four observations:
1. Under the multi-year partnership, the hospital and Hoag Orthopaedic Institute in Orange County, Calif., will provide the Chargers with comprehensive healthcare by physicians trained in treating professional athletes.
2. The Charger’s Costa Mesa facility for training and practice fields will be named the Hoag Performance Center.
3. Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian is a nonprofit, regional healthcare network comprised of two acute care hospitals, seven health centers and 10 urgent care centers.
4. The Hoag Orthopedic Institute consists of a specialty hospital and two ambulatory surgery centers. It has a team of more than 300 physicians, including 80 orthopedic specialists.
