Dr. Schurman served as president of Kansas Joint & Spine Institute. He will become a partner with Advanced Orthopaedic Associates, a 14 physician practice that is currently in the process of opening a 3,000-square-foot office at Via Christi Hospital in St. Teresa.
Dr. Schurman earned his medical degree from Wayne State University and completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at Henry Ford Hospital, both in Detroit. His additional training includes studying adult reconstructive surgery at the New England Baptist Hospital in Boston and at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation.
