Joseph Schwab, MD – spine surgeons to know | 2014

Joseph Schwab, MD (Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston). Dr. Schwab is the interim director of the orthopedic spine service at Massachusetts General Hospital. He is also an instructor in orthopedic surgery at Harvard Medical School. His research combines his training in spinal tumors and degenerative conditions.

Dr. Schwab recently earned his second Master’s degree from Harvard/MIT School of Health Sciences and Technology as part of the Clinical Investigator Training Program designed to train young investigators in the science of translational research and clinical trials. He has published several articles in pee-reviewed journals.

 

Dr. Schwab earned his medical degree at Chicago Medical School and completed his residency at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn. His additional training includes a fellowship in spine surgery at Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City and a fellowship in orthopedic oncology from Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York.
