The joint replacement hospital will be constructed on land near McMurray Road, and physicians at the hospital will perform a number of joint replacement surgeries requiring 24-36-hours stays, according to the report.
Plans for the hospital are currently under review by the Buellton Planning Commission and, if approved, will move to the City Council for approval.
The Buellton facility is one of 11 JRHA plans to construct during a seven-year period, according to the report.
