James F. Mooney, MD (Medical University of South Carolina, Charleston). Dr. Mooney is the chief of the division of pediatric orthopedic surgery at the Medical University of South Carolina. He has a special interest in pediatric spinal deformity and trauma. He also serves as a professor of orthopedic surgery at MUSC.
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Mooney conducts research on pediatric spinal deformity, fractures and abnormalities in the hip, knee, foot and hand. He has published several articles on his research.
Dr. Mooney earned his medical degree at Wayne State University and completed his residency at North Carolina Baptist Hospital. His additional training includes a fellowship at Children’s Hospital of Boston.
