Jack M. Walker, MD, Co-Founder of Orthopedics Practice, Dies at Age 85

Orthopedic surgeon Jack M. Walker, MD, died recently at age 85, according to an obituary in the StarPress.

Dr. Walker founded Central Indiana Orthopedics in Muncie, Ind. in 1950 with Leland Brown, MD, branching into sports injuries by the 1970s and adding several sites.

He retired from Central Indiana Orthopedics in 2005, which now has 15 physicians.  

He was on staff at Ball Memorial Hospital since 1958 and was a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, the Tri State Orthopedic Society and the Indiana Orthopedic Society.
