Iowa State begins construction on $90M sports performance facility — 3 insights

Iowa State University in Ames has started construction on its new sports performance center, which will be utilized by all student-athletes at the university, reports 247 Sports.

Three insights:

1. It will feature a sports nutrition center and sports medicine facilities for soccer, softball, tennis and golf.

2. The $90 million, 110,000-square-foot complex will be connected to the current Bergstrom Football Complex.

3. Almost 20,000 square feet of extra locker space, team lounges and office spaces will be added to the current football facility.
