IMS is also in the process of constructing a new pain management ambulatory surgery center in central Atlanta near Piedmont Hospital, according to Robin Fowler, MD, chairman and medical director of IMS. “[These developments] will provide seven full-time pain physicians covering significant amounts of Atlanta and its surrounding communities,” he said.
The company is also developing a new ambulatory surgery center for pain in southwest Atlanta and is considering a development in the Atlanta suburb of Sandy Springs, according to CEO Stephen Rosenbaum. “Should we decide to pursue that development, we will have a total of six ambulatory surgery centers in the state of Georgia,” he said.
