International Headache Society Releases New Guidelines for Migraine Clinical Trials

The International Headache Society has released new recommendations for the conduct of acute and preventive migraine clinical trials, and the guidelines have been published in the IHS journal Cephalalgia.

The third edition of Migraine Clinical Trials Guidelines recommends a contemporary, standardized and evidence-based approach to migraine clinical trials. The guidelines address trials for acute migraine and migraine prevention, patient selection, trial design and evaluation of results and statistics. The first edition of the guidelines was published in 1991 and the second in 2000.
