Interim Rule Gives VA More Freedom in Sharing Medical Records With Department of Defense

An interim rule by the Department of Veterans Affairs would remove a restriction on what medical records it can send to the Department of Defense, according to a department news release.

The VA said the original rule impeded its ability to coordinate the care and treatment of veterans.
