Illinois Pain Institute Offers MRI-Safe Implantable Neurostimulation Device

Elgin, Ill.-based Illinois Pain Institute announced that it is offering patients an implantable neurostimulation system for treating chronic back or limb pain, which is safe for MRI use.

John Prunskis, MD, medical director at the Illinois Pain Institute is among the first U.S. physicians to implant a patient with MRI safe leads, one of four Medtronic neurostimulation systems that recently received FDA approval for body MRI scans under specific conditions of use.
