2. Designed to enhance instrument positioning and screw placement, the navigation system is comprised of a robotic arm to assist with spinal fusion surgeries.
3. Chintan Sampat, MD, an orthopedic spine surgeon at Silver Cross, said patients experience less pain, scarring, blood loss and radiation exposure when undergoing surgery with the robotic system.
