SUNY Cortland hosts sports medicine symposium — 3 highlights

The State University of New York at Cortland is hosting a sports medicine symposium for the school’s aspiring athletic trainers, exercise scientists and medical professionals, according to SUNY Cortland News.

Here are three highlights:

 

1. The conference will take place on April 22.

 

2. The one-day conference will focus on current topics and medical issues that today’s athletes are facing such as concussions, ACL tears and other common injuries.

 

3. The event also features four expert presentations and includes a keynote talk by Jocelyn R. Wittstein, MD, an orthopedic surgeon and sports medicine physician with Bassett Healthcare Network in Cooperstown, N.Y.
