Minneapolis-based Player’s Health’s app earned the top prize at Google Demo Day, according to The Line.

Here are four highlights:

 

1. Former pro football player Tyrre Burks founded Player’s Health, a HIPAA-compliant health record for athletes that streamlines the injury reporting process in real time across.

 

2. Over the long term, Mr. Burks hopes to utilize an ever-growing body of injury data to produce targeted insights about where, how and why injuries occur.

 

3. Player’s Health will be fully operational by June and will begin tracking player injuries as they occur.

 

4. Google Demo Day brings a diverse group of startups from the United States, Canada and Mexico to Silicon Valley, Calif., to showcase their technology and meet Silicon Valley investors and mentors.
