Dr. Thomas Bond uses Regenexx Procedure to help push U.S. Olympic gymnast towards gold — 5 highlights

Thomas K. Bond, MD, a regenerative medicine specialist at TotalCare Health & Wellness Medical Center in Lafayette, La., is helping a dream come true for Olympic gymnast Matthew Hicks.

1. Dr. Bond is the only physician in Louisiana board-certified in and practicing regenerative medicine, and one of only 30 in the United States.

 

2. Dr. Bond has performed thousands of injections over the past decade.

 

3. Dr. Bond and his team perform the Regenexx Procedures used by numerous professional athletes. The Regenexx Procedures are a set of autologous, adult stem cell and blood platelet-based procedures which assist the patient’s own healing system.

 

4. Mr. Hicks had his procedure in August 2015 and immediately saw and felt results. He plans to be ready for the Olympic trials in June, and has already begun training.
