Dr. Karaikovic trains surgeons at highly respected medical surgeons around the world in addition to training surgeons at local hospitals in developing world countries. He is a member of Health Volunteers Overseas.
Dr. Karaikovic attended medical school at the University of Sarajevo School of Medicine in Bosnia in 1983. He completed his residency at the University of Sarajevo in 1991 and went on to complete an additional residency in 2002 at the University of Missouri-Columbia. Dr. Karaikovic received fellowships from the Queens Medical Center in Honolulu and the University of Missouri-Columbia in 1993.
