1. Dr. Fossett has served on MSU athletics for more than 40 years.
2. The orthopedic surgeon has practiced in Morehead for almost 50 years.
3. The Kentucky Athletic Society has recognized Dr. Fossett as Sports Medicine Person of the Year, and the American Orthopedic Society of Sports Medicine recognized Dr. Fossett with the Thomas A. Brady Sports Achievement Award.
4. Dr. Fossett is a member of the American Academy of Orthopeadic Surgeons, American Orthopeadic Society for Sports Medicine, Kentucky Medical Association, National Athletic Trainer’s Association and Rowan County Medical Association.
