Baylor Scott & White Health, Dallas Cowboys break ground on sports medicine facility — 5 insights

Temple, Texas-based Baylor Scott & White Health and the Dallas Cowboys have begun construction on the team’s new sports medicine facility, according to Dallas Cowboys News.

Here are five insights:

 

1. The new facility will be located in Frisco, Texas, where the Dallas Cowboys world corporate headquarters also resides.

 

2. Baylor Scott & White Health and the Dallas Cowboys expects to complete construction on the 300,000-square-foot facility early 2018.

 

3. Baylor Scott & White and the Cowboys will name the facility “Baylor Scott & White Sports Therapy & Research at The Star.”

 

4. The sports facility will include an ambulatory surgery center, diagnostic imaging, a sports performance program, an urgent care center, outpatient rehabilitation and a pharmacy, among other services.

 

5. Baylor Health Care System and Scott & White Healthcare merged in 2013 to create Baylor Scott & White Health, which is the largest nonprofit healthcare system in Texas.
