UCCS, Penrose-St. Francis to develop sports medicine center — 4 insights

The University of Colorado at Colorado Springs partnered with Colorado Springs-based Penrose-St. Francis to develop a sports medicine center, according to Fox 21 News.

Here are four insights:

 

1. The UCCS Sports Medicine and Performance Center’s services will include human performance testing and training, biomechanics, medically-based fitness and research, among others.

 

2. The center’s development is part of the Colorado Springs City for Champions project, an initiative to develop tourism projects to attract more consumers to Colorado.

 

3. Both UCCS and Penrose-St. Francis will host a celebration on June 30.

 

4. The center is scheduled to open in December 2019.
