Here are four things to know:
1. Chino Valley High School students had to travel to the Mountain Institute to learn about sports medicine as part of the Joint Technical Education District before Chino Valley’s program.
2. The high school implemented the program to strengthen numbers. Many students wanted to participate in the sports medicine program at the Mountain Institute but did not have ample time to make the trek there.
3. Students will have the ability to get hands-on training in athletic training.
4. The high school also hired a full-time certified athletic trainer who will help all of the school’s sports teams.
