The hospital installed a 64-slice and a 16-slice low-dose CT scanner, the latter of which is used for pediatric patients. The technology moves patients through more quickly, makes three-dimensional and other imaging reconstructions easier to perform and allows referring physicians to access all images through the hospital’s radiology department and imaging PACS system.
The three-dimensional imaging capabilities help physicians with diagnostics and preoperative planning. The CT scanners also accommodate patients with metal implants.
