Hattiesburg Clinic constructing orthopedic, sports medicine facility — 4 insights

Hattiesburg (Miss.) Clinic broke ground on an orthopedic and sports medicine building that when complete will provide practice space for 14 orthopedic surgeons June 6, Mississippi Business Journal reports.

Here’s what you should know:

1. The clinic will also feature a 9,000-square-foot physical therapy space, a conference center and an imaging suite.

2. The facility will be connected to an indoor sports performance center, featuring weights, a basketball floor, a baseball batting cage and an indoor turf football field. There is also an outdoor component with a natural turf field.

3. The facility is expected to open in 2019.

4. After the first groundbreaking concluded, Hattiesburg Clinic broke ground on a building that’ll house a psychology and counseling center.
