Greater Regional Medical Center in Iowa Names Dr. Damian Mizera Head of New Orthopedic & Sports Medicine Center

Greater Regional Medical Center in Creston, Iowa, recently welcomed orthopedic surgeon Damian Mizera, MD, as the leader of GRMC’s new orthopedic practice, according to a hospital news release.

Dr. Mizera has a professional interest in adult joint replacement, knee surgery, shoulder arthroscopy and fracture care. He will lead the new Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine Clinic at Greater Regional, which will provide a range of orthopedic and sports medicine services. The new center is scheduled to open in spring 2012, along with the new Greater Regional Surgery Center.

Dr. Mizera earned his medical degree at Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis and completed the Orthopaedic Surgery Residency Program in El Paso, Texas. He previously practiced with St. Francis Orthopedic and Sports Medicine Center in Maryville, Miss.
