Officials at the company’s Waukesha, Wis. facility gave the newspaper a preview of the new device, which would accommodate 20 percent of U.S. patients who cannot use a conventional MRI.
The new MRI will cost about $1.5 million-$1.6 million, which is roughly the cost of the conventional scanner.
