Former AAOS President Dr. Anthony Rankin Receives Advocate Award

Former AAOS President E. Anthony Rankin, MD, received the Providence Hospital’s Advocate Award for his work on behalf of the less fortunate in Washington, D.C.

Dr. Rankin is the chair of orthopedic surgery at Providence Hospital. He also maintains a private practice as the senior partner of the Rankin Orthopaedic & Sports Medicine Center.

He provides orthopedic care to the homeless through his ongoing service to the non-profit healthcare organization Unity Health Care of Washington, D.C.

Providence Hospital recently opened the E. Anthony Rankin Pavilion in his honor.
