FDA Device Center Chief Resigns Amid Allegations of Pressuring for Positive Reviews

Daniel Schultz is resigning as director of the FDA’s Center for Devices and Radiological Health, following allegations that the center pressured scientists to make positive reviews of devices, according to Reuters.

The watchdog group Project on Government Oversight also alleges that the center carried out too few laboratory inspections for high-risk medical devices.
