According to the report, healthcare providers that were on track to comply by Oct. 1, 2013, have a chance to strengthen their plans, while those that were behind have a chance to catch up. Professionals can take advantage of the delay by strengthening ICD-9 coding processes, correcting documentation problems and focusing on ICD-10 training.
