The hospital said it expanded the project from $2.6 million to $4.27 million because demand for orthopedic services grew by 35 percent in the past three years and is expected to grow by another 35 percent in the next three years with the addition of several orthopedic surgeons to the staff.
Pending approvals, the hospital expects to complete the project in about six months.
