The Medicare and Medicaid EHR Incentive Programs, which included the meaningful use objectives, have spurred the growth of the EMR market. However, not all systems are easy to use, and vendors are responding, the report said.
Reducing click counts, creating consistent layouts from screen to screen and adjusting an EMR system to a physician’s current workflow are some of the ways vendors are trying to make the EMR systems more palatable.
