Emory Healthcare to build sports medicine center — 4 key notes

Atlanta-based Emory Healthcare is the latest organization signing onto Atlanta Sports City, a $200 million entertainment and recreational sports facility in Stonecrest, Ga., DeKalb Neighbor reports.

Here’s what you should know.

 

1. Emory Healthcare plans to add a 10,000-square-foot sports medicine pavilion and a medical office park to the development.

 

2. Emory providers and trainers will staff the sports medicine pavilion. They will offer imaging services along with medical, training and rehabilitative services.

 

3. The office park will serve as Emory’s regional office and will provide care to the Stonecrest area.

 

4. Emory Orthopaedics & Spine Center Director Scott Boden said to the Neighbor, “Our collective vision for this partnership will establish an unmatched level of on-site integration of multi-sport athletic competition and training with sports medicine diagnostic equipment, medical care and sports medicine research.”
