Drs. Neal ElAttrache and James Andrews Advise Tommy John Surgery for Dodgers Pitcher Rubby De La Rosa

After Neal ElAttrache, MD, of Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic Clinic in Los Angeles, and James Andrews, MD, of Andrews Orthopaedic & Sports Medicine Center in Birmingham, Ala., examined him, Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Rubby De La Rosa decided to undergo reconstructive surgery for a torn ulnar collateral ligament, according to an ESPN report.

Mr. De La Rosa partially tore the UCL in his right elbow earlier in the season. The time and place has not been decided for Mr. De La Rosa’s Tommy John procedure, but when the surgery is completed he will spend at least 12 months recovering.
