Both physicians are a part of University of Arizona’s department of orthopedic surgery. The surgeons have thus far used the glasses during 25 cases. The Google Glass allows surgeons to take a picture of an X-ray and have that image superimposed in their direct line of sight during surgery. The glass is also used for data collection and for training residents, according to the report.
