Mr. Malkin’s procedure was performed at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital and Mr. Aston-Reese’s was performed at UPMC Montefiore Hospital, both in Pittsburgh.
John Fowler, MD, of UPMC Shoulder and Elbow Orthopedic Surgery assisted Dr. Vyas in Mr. Malkin’s case.
Mr. Malkin is expected to be sidelined for three to four weeks, while Mr. Anton-Reese is likely to be out for six months.
