1. Mr. Barton sustained a right hip and core strain during the Nugget’s Oct. 20 game.
2. On Oct. 23, the team announced Mr. Barton underwent successful surgery for his injuries and his playing status will be re-evaluated in six weeks.
3. Dr. Meyers is the founder and president of the Vincera Foundation in Philadelphia. He specializes in core muscle injuries, hernia and hydrocele repair and general surgery.
4. Dr. Meyers is a member of the American Medical Association, American College of Surgeons and American Surgical Association.
