Mr. Woods reportedly underwent arthroscopic surgery to repair minor cartilage damage to his left knee. Dr. Cooley, Murray, a Utah-based orthopedic surgeon, expects him to make a full recovery and didn’t find any other issues during the procedure.
Mr. Woods hopes to start practicing again in September and compete for a PGA Tour championship in October. Earlier this year, he has refrained from playing due to back soreness, oblique strain and neck strain, according to NBC Golf.
