Dr. Tom Clanton Performs Ankle Surgery on Yao Ming

Tom Clanton, MD, team physician for the Houston Rockets, recently performed ankle surgery on the Rockets’ Yao Ming, which may end his career, according to a report from The Washington Post.

Mr. Ming underwent surgery last Thursday to repair a stress fracture in his left ankle after only playing five games this season. He will make a decision about whether to continue playing in the NBA during his recovery and rehabilitation process.
