Dr. Gerlinger served in the U.S. Army Medical Corps and is a past president of the Society of Military Orthopaedic Surgeons. He earned the Bronze Star Award during his years of medical service in the military. He has also completed a fellowship in adult joint replacement at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago.
