Dr. Steven Shin Performs Thumb Surgery on Angels Outfielder Vernon Wells

Steven Shin, MD, an orthopedic surgeon with Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic Clinic in Los Angeles, performed hand surgery on Los Angeles Angels outfielder Vernon Wells, according to an SB Nation report.

Mr. Wells was injured during a game last weekend and will undergo surgery to repair an injury to his thumb. He is expected to miss eight to 10 weeks recovering from the injury.
