The find leaves much doubt in whether Mr. Bryant will return to the court.

Another Lakers physician, Neal ElAttrache, MD, is expected to examine Mr. Bryant later this week. Mr. Bryant, who has one year left on his contract, has yet to say whether he will undergo surgery for the injury.

Both Dr. Lombardo and Dr. ElAttrache practice with Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic Clinic in Los Angeles.
