Dr. Steve Shin to repair ligament of Los Angeles Clippers point guard Chris Paul: 4 key notes

Steve Shin, MD, an orthopedic surgeon at the Los Angeles-based Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic Clinic, will fix the torn ligament in the left thumb of Los Angeles Clippers’ point guard Chris Paul, the Eagle Tribune reports.

Here’s what you should know.

 

1. Mr. Paul injured his thumb in a game against Oklahoma City. He left the game in the second quarter and did not return. Mr. Paul could miss up to eight weeks.

 

2. Dr. Shin previously surgically repaired Mr. Paul’s right hand in April 2016.

 

3. Dr. Shin is the hand surgery director at the Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic Clinic.

 

4. He is a consultant to the Los Angeles Lakers, Los Angeles Dodgers, Los Angeles Angeles, Los Angeles Kings and Anaheim Ducks.
