Dr. Steve Shin operates on Trail Blazers’ Jusuf Nurkic

Steve Shin, MD, repaired the fractured right wrist of Portland Trail Blazers center Jusuf Nurkic, the team reported Jan. 19.

Mr. Nurkic will wear a splint for four weeks as he recovers and will be reevaluated in six weeks.

Dr. Shin performed the procedure at Cedars-Sinai Kerlan Jobe Institute in Los Angeles, where he is the hand surgery director.

He is a consultant for the Los Angeles Lakers, Los Angeles Dodgers, Los Angeles Angels, Los Angeles Kings and Anaheim Ducks.
