Dr. Stephen Smith performs Siouxland’s first XP Preserving Knee replacement

Stephen Smith, MD, of Norfolk-based Northeast Nebraska Orthopedics, performed the first Vanguard XP Preserving Knee replacement procedure in the Siouxland region, according to a News 4 KTIV report.

Dr. Smith performed a double knee replacement using the Vangaurd XP procedure, which takes a little longer than traditional replacements. The procedure aims to preserve the anterior cruciate ligament.
