Dr. Srdjan Mirkovic Performs Spine Surgery on Bears Receiver Johnny Knox

Srdjan Mirkovic, MD, a spinal consultant for the Chicago Bears, recently performed spine surgery on Bears receiver Johnny Knox, according to a Chicago Sun-Times news report.

Mr. Knox injured his spine during the game last week trying to recover a fumble. The surgery stabilized his L1 vertebra and he is expected to spend three months recovering. He could return to play in time for the 2012 training camp.
